Christmas comes to Somerset

Our Advent Calendar uses the windows of the church building in Paul Street to display images created by local artist Norman Steel, with a new picture each day from Advent Sunday to Christmas.

The sequence begins with heralds of the good news to come, which is then represented by Norman’s version of the traditional Jesse tree. Then the nativity story is played out in subsequent images, some seen against the backdrop of familiar scenes in Somerset and Taunton town centre.
